Tino Kasi is the founder of Kasi Law which is a boutique law firm in London, ON that represents businesses, insurance companies and individuals. Tino is proud of the fact that over a dozen of the region’s mutual insurance companies currently call upon her for legal advice and effective representation of their insurance disputes. Her clients appreciate the advantages of being represented and counseled by a passionate lawyer who understands the “mutual way” and believes that we share the challenges and successes together – as partners.
Tino has accumulated tremendous expertise in insurance litigation and has defended insurers for over 14 years. Her practice involves all kinds of insurance disputes, complex and routine, arising from all lines and classes business. Tino appreciates the uniqueness of claims often faced by mutual insurers and has extensive experience with farm accidents, marine accidents, motor vehicle accidents, occupier’s liability, crop & livestock claims, fraudulent claims, coverage opinions, fire & property losses, product liability, environmental liability, accident benefits and inter-insurer disputes.
While Tino aspires to reach prompt and fair resolutions to insurance disputes, she is not afraid to go “all the way” and has extensive trial experience, including complex jury trials.
Tino was born and raised in Zimbabwe and studied law combined with business studies in England before permanently immigrating to Canada in 2004. She graduated from Western University’s Faculty of Law in 2007 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2008.
On a personal note, Tino enjoys travelling and spending time with her husband, Dan, and their two daughters, Sarah and Savannah.
Martin E. Tiidus is a graduate of Osgoode Hall law school of York University in Toronto and was called to the bar in 1985. He has over 30 years experience and is a seasoned litigator in the area of civil litigation, specializing in insurance; personal injury; liability; coverage issues; disputes between insurers; priority disputes. Martin has represented thousands of clients, both individuals, corporations, municipalities, and insurers in all levels of courts in Ontario, as well as numerous administrative tribunals. He has also appeared as counsel for insurers in Alberta and Nova Scotia. A specialist in dispute resolution, he has also acted as a mediator in personal injury disputes in Ontario.
Martin brings a pragmatic, results oriented approach when representing clients.
Nouredeen was born in Libya and immigrated to Canada as a child. He grew up across western Canada, spending time in Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan before moving to London to practice law. Nouredeen earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan in 2020 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2022. Prior to his legal education, his studies focused on business, completing a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Saskatchewan in 2015 and a Masters of Global Business from the University of Victoria in 2017.
Nouredeen worked and articled at a local criminal defense firm prior to joining Kasi Law. While in law school, he volunteered at Campus Legal Services, was the President of the Diversity and Law Society, and was the Vice President of the Health Law Club. Nouredeen brings his passion for litigation and advocacy to our team.
Sylvia Szabo was born and raised in Tillsonburg, ON and grew up on a tobacco farm. Farm life and European parents were integral to inspiring her great work ethic. Sylvia is a graduate of St. Clair College and Westervelt College and brings more than 30 years of legal experience to Kasi Law. After spending many years working with two large law firms in the city, she has embraced the truly family-like culture at Kasi Law. She is an integral part of a dynamic team of compassionate and hard-working individuals. Those who have worked with Sylvia recognize her genuine caring personality, empathy for our clients and drive to get things done.
Sylvia has also taken on the role as Human Resources Director for the firm, and is fluent in Hungarian.
During her spare time, she enjoys traveling, advocating for animals of all kinds, and spending time with loved ones and her dog Otis.
Samantha has extensive experience in personal injury law. She graduated from Fanshawe College in 2015 from the Law Clerk program. She is very motivated and taught herself to knit during the pandemic. She is sharpening her knitting skills just as she is learning and growing with us at Kasi Law.
